H1 David Maurer Miller, born March 1, 1865 near Bradford, Ohio, died November 28, 1945 near Greenville, Ohio (view Death Certificate); married September 1, 1889 in Darke County, Ohio, Nancy Ann Wolf, daughter of Henry Peffley Wolf and Fanny B. Deeter, born March 9, 1870 in Adams Township, Darke County, Ohio, died July 7, 1937 in Darke County, Ohio (view Death Certificate). They are buried in Harris Creek Cemetery near Bradford, Ohio. Eleven children.


80-Year-Old Retired Farmer Is Stricken

David Maurer Miller, 80, a retired Darke county farmer, died last Wednesday after a lingering illness. He had lived with a son, Otto, near Painter Creek for the last six years.

Miller was a native and lifelong resident of the county and was an active member of the Brethren.

He leaves five other sons, Charles, of Bradford, R. R.; Earl, of Ludlow Falls; Edgar, of Bradford; Ezra, of Greenville, R. R. 2, and Ora, of Arcanum, R. R. 2; one daughter, Mrs. Pete Sheets, of Covington; 23 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

There are also three brothers, John Miller, of New Carlisle; Jake Miller, of Buckley, Ill., and Amos Miller, of Bradford, R. R., and seven sisters, Mrs. Catherine Hoke, Sidney; Mrs. John Zellers, Versailles, R. R., Mrs. Rufus Flory, Painter Creek; Mrs. Lydia Suterman and Mrs. Susan Flett, both of Pasedena, Calif.; Mrs. Hettie Blyly of Nappannee, Ind., and Mrs. Lizzie Lear, of Dayton.

Services were held at two p. m. Saturday at the Bradford Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Roy Honeyman and Rev. G. E. Weaver officiating. Burial was in the Harris Creek Cemetery.
