Edith Lenore Sprowl, age 101 of Greenville, Ohio passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Resthaven Nursing Home, Greenville, Ohio.
Born in Darke County on July 21, 1920 she was one of 5 children to the late Charly H. & C. Ethel (Brown) Miller.
Edith loved cooking for her family, and spending time with them. She enjoyed collecting bells, and had over 500 of them. She took care of many people throughout her life, whether it be family or friends, and offered her help to anyone who needed it. Her favorite time of the year was the Christmas season, which comforts her family that she passed away on Christmas. She will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Ethel Doseck: son James Terry Sprowl: brothers Lowell E. Miller; Ora Miller; Charles B. Miller: sister Treva Stutz: friend Perry A. Sprowl, Sr.
Survived by her children Herbert & Gina Miller; Joyce Stickel; Perry A. Sprowl, Jr.; Tim D. Sprowl; Leonard T. Sprowl; Edith E. & Gary Arnett; Fern V. & Bob Koger; Theresa F. Sprowl & Clark Sheets: 34 grandchildren: 58 great-grandchildren: and numerous great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on the family on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Funeral to follow at Noon. Burial at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or EverHeart Hospice.
