Howard's parents were Gilbert Pence and Luella Kenechtly.

PENCE, Howard L. age 82 of Englewood has gone to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in Grace Brethren Village, Englewood. He was born in Washington Court House, Ohio on February 10, 1926 the son of Gilbert & Luella (Kenechtly) Pence. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. He is survived by his wife Phyllis J. Pence, sons Timothy L. (Laure) Pence of Berwick, Maine and David L. Pence of Dayton, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Helen Saylor, and 4 brothers Wendell, Cecil, Gerald, and Denman Pence.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Grace Brethren Village, 1010 Taywood Rd. Englewood with Pastor Forrest Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Services have been entrusted to the Blessing Funeral Home (formerly Jennings) 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City, Ohio.

PENCE, Phyllis J. age 79 of Englewood passed away Monday, March 28, 2011 in Grace Brethren Village, Englewood. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on April 27, 1931 the daughter of Albert & Ruth (Anderson) Miller. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and board games with her husband, family and friends for many years. She also hosted many family reunions over the years. She is survived by her sons Timothy and Laure Pence of Somersworth, New Hampshire, and David L. Pence of Dayton, grandchildren Mike Gilpatrick, Tamie Summerhill, Tiffany Pence, Joseph Pence, and Sarah Pence, 4 great grandchildren, sisters Barbara Garrett and Juanita "Nita" Whited, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Howard Pence in 2009, brothers Harold and Lew "Shorty" Miller, and sisters Gladys Qvick and Donna Rogge.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Grace Brethren Village, 1010 Taywood Rd. Englewood with Pastor Forrest Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
