J4 Lewellyn Montgomery ("Shorty") Miller, born August 23, 1923 in Montgomery County, Ohio, died September 22, 2009; married (1) Sybel Elaine Meller; married (2) Alma Jean ____, born 1932, died May 5, 2000 in Davie, Florida.


MILLER - Alma Jean, 68, of Davie entered into Eternal Life May 5, 2000. Alma was born in Tennessee but she spent most of her life in Ft. Lauderdale. She retired from Univis/BMC Industries after 32 years. Alme leaves behind her loving husband, Llewellyn of 34 wonderful years; daughters, Cena Beene of AZ, & Mary (Allen) Kelly of FL; sons, Wayne (Gail) Miller & Wendell (Ruth) Miller both of Ohio; Including lots of grandchildren & great grandchildren, She will be missed by all.

MILLER, Llewellyn M. (Shorty) Age 86, passed away Sept 22, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife Alma, parents Albert and Ruth Miller, grandson Richard E. Miller, his brother Harold Miller and two sisters, Gladys Qvick and Donna Rogge. He is survived by two sons, Wendell L. Miller of Atlanta GA. and Wayne E. Miller of Huber Heights, 9 grand children, 25 great grand children, 3 sisters Juanita Whited (FL), Phyllis Pence and Barbara Garrett both of Dayton and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was born in Dayton on Aug. 23, 1923. He moved to Florida in 1962 and returned to Dayton in 2005. To his friends and family members, he was known as Shorty. He was a wonderful father, grand father, brother and uncle. The family looked forward to his annual vacation visits. There was lots of laughter when he was around and some sadness when it was time for him to leave. He was a very witty man, competitive in games and loved to play cards. We will all miss the bantering he so lavishly dealt out. He is sorely missed yet he is in our hearts and is loved dearly. Shorty wanted others to benefit form his passing so he donated his remains to the Boonshoft School of Medicine Wright State University.
