EMERSON MILLER, 96, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Thursday April 3, 2008 at home. He was born August 13, 1911 in Darke County, Ohio the son of the late Amos & Rosa (Hollinger) Miller. He is survived by his daughters, Norma Jean Ryman of North Hampton, Ohio, Wava E. Miller, Wilma & (Harold) Eley and Glenna (Larry) Nicodemus all of New Carlisle; daughter-in-law, Wilma Miller of Tipp City, Ohio; ten grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Wava M. Miller in 1997; a son, Kenneth D. Miller; five brothers; and two sisters. A gathering of family and friends will be 2-8 P.M. Saturday April 5, 2008 at the Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Sunday at the Donnels Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery. Special thanks to Eloise & Jane and Hospice staff. She was born April 14, 1941 in Troy, Ohio,, the daughter of the late Emerson & Wava (Baker) Miller.
She is survived by a son, Jeff & Sheriann Hoblit; two daughters, Teresa Lovall & Donna Hoblit; six grandchildren; a great grandson; two sisters, Wava Miller, Glenna & Larry Nicodemus; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Hoblit & Harold Eley; a brother, Ken Miller; a sister, Norma Jean Ryman.
Visitation will be 2-5 & 6-8 PM, Sunday, May 31, 2020 at the Maple Grove Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Funeral services will be at 10 AM Monday at the Donnelscreek Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery.
