Roma Catherine McGriff was the only child of Clayton McGriff (1875-1929) and Caroline Krickenberger (1877-1919).
CASTINE--Charles Horine, 65, owner and operator of a grocery here for the last twenty-six years, died of a heart ailment yesterday at Wayne hospital in Greenville following a six-month illness.Mr. Horine was born in Butler Township, Darke County, and had spent his entire life in the Castine area.
Surviving are his wife, Roma; a daughter, Mrs. Esther Jean Ricker of Castine; one grandchild and two brothers, Roy Horine of Ithaca and Alva Horine of Eaton.
Services will be held at the Michael funeral home in West Manchester with the Rev. Walter Sinks and the Rev. John Sass officiating. Burial will be in the Castine cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after two p.m. tomorrow.
Mrs. Charles HorineMrs. Roma Catherine Horine, 66, of Castine, died last Wednesday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Greenville. A Darke County native, Mrs. Horine was a member of the Castine United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Esther Ricker of Castine, and one grandchild. Services were held at the Castine United Methodist Church Sunday afternoon, with burial in Castine Cemetery. Rev, Harry Sink of the Potsdam United Methodist Church officiated with Rev. Larry Beman of the Castine United Methodist Church assisting.
