Lloyd R. Miller Lloyd R. Miller, 102, of Timbercrest Senior Living Center in North Manchester, Indiana, and a longtime resident of Roann, Indiana, died at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Timbercrest Healthcare Center. He was born January 15, 1907 in Versailles, Ohio, to Charlie C. and Linnie (Burger) Miller. Lloyd first married Lillian Beam on June 16, 1929 in Roann; she died October 9, 1977. He next married K. Mae (Milam) Shaver in Roann on July 23, 1978; she died January 22, 1993. He then married Margaret (Burnworth) Myers in Roann on June 25, 1995; she died June 6, 2009. He owned and operated the Roann Locker Plant from 1945-1969 and Roann Manufacturing from 1969 until it burned in 1973. He was the Wabash County Auditor from 1976-1980. Lloyd was one of the founders of the Pleasant View Nursing Home on Mill Creek Pike in Wabash. He was a member of the Roann First Brethren Church, where he was the first lay moderator, a deacon, and Sunday school superintendent/teacher 36 years. He was a 50-year member of Gideons International and a former member of the Roann Lions Club. He is survived by two grandchildren, Tonie D. Miller of Dallas, Texas, and Michael A. Miller of Roann; two sisters, Helen (Elmer) Zimmerman and Bertha (Conrad Snavely) Custer, both of North Manchester; and a nephew, Gresham A. "Bud" Bearss of Berne, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Miller, his brother, I.W. Miller, and three sisters, Caroline Kessler, Esther Bell, and Lois Kendall. Funeral services will be held at Timbercrest Chapel, 2201 East Street, North Manchester, on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Chaplains Alan Kieffaber and Andrew Sampson officiating. Burial will be in Roann Community Cemetery, Roann. Friends may call from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Timbercrest Chapel. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Roann Chapel, 335 S. Chippewa Road, Roann. Preferred memorial for Lloyd is Timbercrest Senior Living Community.
