I2 Elsie Miller, born 20 July, 1918, died December 6, 2004. Married 30 June, 1943, to Ralph Emerson Apple, born 24 June, 1916, died April 23, 1999. Ralph is the son of Irvin Apple and Florence Miller. Brother to Glen N. Miller's wife Elsie. Lived in Piqua, Ohio. Three children.

ELSIE APPLE

Elsie Apple, 86, formerly of Piqua, died on Monday December 6, 2004 at 3:50 pm in Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Gettysburg on July 20, 1918 to the late J. Henry and Nellie Smith Miller. She married Ralph E. Apple on June 30, 1943 in Gettysburg; he preceded her in death on April 23, 1999.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Sue Apple of Kettering, Don and Rose Apple of Pendleton, Ind., a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Ron Fall of Westfield, Ind., six grandchildren, Erich Apple, Jenna Apple, Jill Apple, Kimberly Aebie, Jared Fall, Evan Fall, three great grandchildren, Ryan Aebie, Aaron Aebie, Kaylyn Aebie, two brothers and sister-in-law, Norman Miller(married deceased relative of mine, Ruth Carol Petersime) of Greenville, and Marvin and Carolyn Miller of Sebring, Fla., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Miller.

The family sincerely appreciates the warmth, care, and dedication of the following who enhanced the quality of Elsie's life, Hospice of Dayton, CareMore Assisted Living, Upper Valley Home Care, Upper Valley Family Care, Franklin Handel MD, the Albert Bowman family, Rachel Fearon, Nicia Hanes, Patricia Taylor, Jody Puckett, the Steve Allenbaugh family, Dale Jackson, Jessie Tirey, the Jeff McCabe family, and Joan Runnels.

Mrs. Apple was a 1936 graduate of Gettysburg High School, and was a homemaker all of her life. She was a member of the Oakland Church of the Brethren of Bradford.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, December 10, 2004 at 2:00 pm in the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Todd Aebie officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Visitation will be on Friday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm in the funeral home.
