Married 22 August, 1954, to Paul Burkett, born 13 May, 1933, Darke County, Ohio. Graduated from Franklin High School, and Manchester College, North Manchester, Indiana. Son of Clarence Burkett and Ruth Halladay. Taught science and math for 35 years. Both Paul and Carol retired from the Columbia City School System in 1990.
