Married 10 August, 1947, to Lowell Garland Brodrick, born 13 April, 1927, in Darke County, Ohio. Graduated from Greenville High School. Served in the Army Air Corps in 1945 and 1946. Graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1952. Worked for P.R. Mallory as an electrical engineer for 31 years. Lived in Hamilton County, Ohio when Lowell was attending the University of Cincinnati, moved to Indianapolis after he graduated in 1962. Moved to Frankfort, Indiana when Lowell transferred. Janis retired in 1989, Lowell in 1982.

Taught school until their boys were born, home schooled all four boys until they were ready for high school. Married July 4, 1971 Allen Ray Johnson, born October 16, 1948, in Pickstown, South Dakota (Charles Mix County).

J2 Beth Ann Brodrick, born March 6, 1953, Indianapolis, Indiana. Graduated from Frankfort High School, Frankfort, Indiana; Hanover College, Hanover, Indiana. Special Education Degree. Married Wallace (Ace) Ray Yakey, born May 20, 1953, Indianapolis, Indiana.

J3 Sandra Kay Brodrick, born February 7, 1957, Indianapolis, Indiana. Graduated Frankfort High School, Frankfort, Indiana; Purdue University. Teaches elementary school. Married July 15, 1978 David James Horvath, born May 7, 1955 in East Chicago, Illinois.
