Hansbarger, 95 of Chestnut Street, Greenville, died the evening of Jan. 20 in the Brethren's Home Medical Center. Mr. Hansbarger was a former resident of the Arcanum area living at the Brethren Home for the last two years. He was born Jan. 10, 1907, in Darke County, the son of the late George and Mary (Baker) Hansbarger. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Elsie (Miller) Hansbarger, who died in 1972; his second wife, Martha (Hancock) Hansbarger, who died in 1991; and his sister, Myrtle Weaver. Mr. Hansbarger was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church and a well-known retired Franklin Township farmer. He is survived by two sons, Duane Hansbarger and wife Janice of Germantown and Lyle Hansbarger and wife Janet of Arcanum; Six grandchildren, Dudley, Nevin and David Hansbarger, Cindy Kinsey, Dawn Hunter and Alan Hansbarger and wife, Denise; numerous great grandchildren; and three sisters, Grace Albrecht of Greenville and Edna Lephart and Evelyn Hangen, both of Arcanum. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum, with the Rev. David Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
