Neva Miller H6 Neva Miller, born December 15, 1899, died November 10, 1983. She married Homer M. Zechar, son of Andrew and Margaret Zechar, born September 28, 1894, died May 30, 1969.

Neva Zecher

Neva Zecher, 83, formerly of 621 Elmhurst Road, Dayton, died 4:55 p.m. Tuesday at Rest Haven Nursing Home, where she had been a patient since May 1972.

A Darke County native, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Laura (Trick) Miller. Also preceding her in death were her husband Homer in May 1969; four brothers, Virgil, John, Fred and Lowell Miller, and two sisters, Nellie Lehman and Bessie Hesson.

She was a member of the Salem Church of God, Dayton, where she formerly taught Sunday school for years.

Survivors include one brother, Harry Miller of Hillsboro, and nieces and nephews.

The funeral is set for 1 p.m. Thursday at Zezhar Funeral Home here, with the Rev. David Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in Abbottsville Cemetery.

Viewing will be one hour before services Thursday at the Funeral home.


Homer M. Zecher

Neva Miller and Homer Zacher
DAYTON - Homer M. Zecher, 74, 621 Elmburst Rd., a native of Darke County, died at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Greenville, at 11:25 a.m. Friday where he had been a patient since March 20. He had been seriously ill for the past six months.

Mr. Zecher had resided in Dayton for the past 43 years. He was retired from National Cash Register Co., Dayton, in 1962, after being employed there for 35 years.

He was a member of the Salem Avenue First Church of God and Dayton Lodge No. 146 Free and Accepted Masons, both of Dayton.

Survivors include his widow, Neva Miller Zecher, Brookville; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Harleman, and Miss Myrtle Zecher, Brookville; and three brothers, Clayton Zecher, Benton Harbor, Mich., and Arthur and Ora her, both of Greenville.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Zecher, McKnight and Baker Funeral Home, E. Third Street Chapel, Greenville, with the Rev. David Grubbs officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home in Greenville on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday until time of services.

Greenville Masonic Lodge Blue Lodge will hold a Lodge of Sorrow at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Sunday.
