G8 Samuel Harvey Miller, was born on September, 23, 1865 in Van Buren Township, Darke County, Ohio, and died August 28, 1941. He married February 23, 1884 Laura Belle Trick , born June 5, 1864, died April 15, 1939 in Ansonia, Ohio. Eight children. She was the daughter of John Frederick Trick and Sarah Floyd.

Obituary - Miller

Samuel H. Miller, youngest son of Emanuel and Nancy Miller, was born in Van Buren Township, August 23, 1865, and departed this life at his home August 28, 1941, aged 76 years and 4 days.

In 1884 he was united in marriage to Laura Belle Trick, and to this union was born eight children, Fred, of greenville; Mrs. Nellie Lehman of Brock; Lowell, of near Gettysburg; Mrs. Neva Zechar of Dayton; Mrs. Bessie Hesson, of near Ansonia; Harry, of near Beamsville, and Virgil and Johnnie, both of whom died in infancy.

His entire life was spent in Darke county. He lived on the farm with his parents until his marriage, after which they moved to Patterson Township where they reared their family. They retired from the farm to Ansonia 22 years ago where they spent their declining years in happy contentment until two years ago when he lost his companion. He continued to live alone at his home but the loss of his wife made his life lonely.

Due to the influence of her life, he made his peace with God about two years ago and found much comfort in church service.

He leaves to mourn his departure six children, 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Obituary--Miller

Laura Belle Trick, daughter of John Frederick and Sarah Trick, was born near Lewisburg, Ohio, on June 5, 1864 and departed this life at her home in Ansonia, April 15, 1939, aged 74 years, ten months, and ten days. She was the last of a family of eight children, being preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.

On February 23, 1884, she was married to Samuel H. Miller and to this union eight children were born. Two, Virgil and Johnnie, died in infancy, the rest remain to mourn her departure. Fred, Lowell, Harry, and Mrs. Bessie Hesson, all of Greenville, Mrs. Neva Zechar of Dayton, and Mrs. Nellie Lehman of Versailles.

About forty years ago she was converted and affiliated herself with the Church of God and has been a devote an faithful member ever since. She was a true Christian, a good neighbor, and a devoted wife and mother. She leaves to mourn her passing her grief stricken husband, six children, sixteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one half sister, Mrs. Ethel Brown of Osgood, Ohio, and a host of relatives and friends.
