H5 Mary Mabel Miller, born 18 February, 1891, died 12 November, 1976, Darke County, Ohio. Married (first husband), 15 October, 1922, to Harrison (Pat) Leonard Horine, born 30 January, 1889, died 25 July 1953. They are buried in Greenmound Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio. Mary Mabel was the daughter of Jacob R Miller and Rosa Boyer.

Harrison Leonard Horine was with the US Department of Agriculture as a vegetable inspector. He was also a veteran of World War I. He was a Corporal in the 1st F. A. Brigade, 1st Division, United Stats Army. He was inducted on May 25, 1917 at Fort Logon, Colorado, and mustered out on September 24, 1919 at Camp Meade, Maryland. He served in France and Germany. He left the United States on July 29, 1917 and returned to the U. S. on September 5, 1919.

After being widowed, she married September 5, 1959, Horace D. Ellenberger. Horace died on August 1, 1968.

Obituary of Mabel Horine Ellenberger

Mrs. Mabel Ellenberger, 85, a resident of the Brethren's Home and formerly of New Madison, died 4:35 p.m. Friday (November 12, 1976) at Wayne Hospital (Greenville, Ohio).

A native of Richland Township, near Beamsville, Mrs. Ellenberger was the daughter of Jake and Rosa (Boyer) Miller.

Her first husband, Harrison Horine, preceded her in death in 1953 and her second husband, Horace Ellenberger, died in 1968.

She was a member of the Undenominational Christian Church of the New Madison area and had served as president of the American Legion Auxiliary, New Madison from 1937 to 1938.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Robert Davis, Vandalia, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Brethren Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Greenmound Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Storch Funeral Home, New Madison, from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Brethren Home Chapel one hour before services.

I1 Rosella Lee Horine, born 3 February, 1925, Darke County, Ohio, died 5 July, 1983 in Vandalia, Ohio, buried Poplar Hill Cemetery, Montgomery County, Ohio; married on 4 June, 1949 to Robert Earl Davis, born 15 August, 1924, died January 10, 2011 in Crystal River, Florida. Robert was the son of Earl A. Davis (March 28, 1888-December 16, 1986) and Florence Esther Bradshaw (August 23, 1881-August 14, 1977). She was the only child of Mary Mabel Miller and Harrison Leonard Horine.
