G1 Adam Horine, the first son of Tobias Horine (1725-1773), born January 11, 1753 in New Hanover Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; died 1831 in Hagerstown, Maryland. He married Elizabeth Wollenschlaeger April 19, 1774 in Frederick, Maryland. Five children.

Adam Horine was a Revoltutionary War Soldier. He served as a Corporal in Captain Michael Troutman's company of militia in 1775 (Revolutionary Patriots of Frederick County, Maryland 1775-1782, Henry C. Peden. Jr.).

Adam Horine, and his wife Elizabeth (Wollenschlager), baptized their son, Johann Henrich Haarein, at the Frederick Lutheran Church; born 9 April, baptized 11 June 1775. The sponsors were Henrich Staehli and his wife Anna Maria.

Adam sold "Schin Talir Gutt" to Michael Troutman in 1786. Some time before 1790 he moved to Jerusalem . He may have worked for the Hughes family who owned an iron furnace at MT. Aetna (near Cavetown and Beaver Creek), as later records show association with the Hughes'. He was not a farmer and apparently rented his home. He appears in the 1790 census in Jerusalem with 5 boys and 1 girl. In 1800 he is listed in Lower Antietam Hundred with 2 boys under 10, 1 boy 10-16, 1 girl under 10, 1 girl 10-16, 2 girls 16-26, himself and his wife. In 1810 he is in Upper Antietam Hundred with 1 male 16-26 and 1 female 26-45; he and wife are both under 45 years of age. In 1820 and 1830 he is in Hagerstown Second District.

In a prerogative filed with the Frederick County Court; Tobias Horine, deceased, Michael Troutman executor received from Adam Horine rent for mule. Sureties, Peter C. Haffman & Chas Hedge. 16 May 1777.

    H1 Elizabeth Horine, born 1776; married John Hoffman on September 12, 1810 in Washington County, Maryland. by Rev. Rauhauser.

    H2 Adam Horine II, born ca. 1778, died 23 March 1812. Married Catharine Whitmire, lived in Hagerstown. He was probably a weaver, based on the inventory of his estate, taken April 27, 1812.

    H3 Anna Maria Horine, born July 20, baptized September 18, 1782, Zion Lutheran, Middletown.Maryland.; sponsor Anna Marias Schroeder. Married George Main October 11, 1802.

    H4 Conrad Horine, born July 16, 1784, died September 16, 1857; married Anna (Nancy) Schrader on March 22, 1816 in Washington County, Maryland.

    H5 Johann Henrich Horine, born ca. June 13, 1786, died July 13, 1862 in Boonsboro, Maryland. He married: 1. 10/4/1806 Barbara Schrader (6/21/1784-4/17/1825), at St. John's Evangelical in Hagerstown, Maryland; and 2. 9/29/1836 Nancy Smith, (12/23/1799-11/14/1858), both are buried with him.
