1928-2002Walter C. Bradish III, 73, of Cherry and formerly of Jacksonville, died Monday morning, Sept. 9, 2002, at St. Margaret's Hospital in Spring Valley.
He was born Dec. 16, 1928, in Jacksonville, the son of Walter C. Jr. and Irene Jones Bradish. He married Eileen Donofrio Dec. 29, 1978, in Wheaton, and she preceded him in death July 19, 1991.
He is survived by one son, Scott of Lombard; his father of Lantana, Fla.; his mother and stepfather, Charles Putnam, of Peoria; two stepsons, Frank (wife, Nancy) Donofrio of Princeton; two grandsons; and one uncle, Phil (wife, June) Bradish of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by one son, Mark in 1991.
Mr. Bradish was a truck driver, retiring in 1990. He owned Bradish Transport in Cherry. He graduated from Western Military Academy in Alton and attended Millikin University in Decatur. He served in the National Guard as a Second Lieutenant.
Funeral services will be held at Mueller Funeral Home in Cherry, with burial at Miners Memorial Cemetery in Cherry. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the ...
