Piqua Man Killed On Highway
Struck By Auto While Walking On SR 235
BELLEFONTAINE, O. -- A 43-year-pld Piqua man was killed early yesterday when struck by a car while walking along a state highway north of here. William S. Miller, 201 Hemm road, was struck about a mile east of State Route 366 on State Route 235. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car, Sherry D. Stinson, 29, of North Walnut Street, Harrod, O., was not held, but state jhighway patrolman said the accident is still under investigation. The accident occured shortly before 1 a.m. Miss Stinson's auto was eastbound on 235, Miller was apparently walking west in the eastbound lane, patrolen said. Surviving Miller are his 11-year-old daughter Kimberly; a brother, Herschel, and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Clark, all of Piqua. Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Jamieson funeral home in Piqua with burial in Ansonia cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. tomorrow.
