G4 David Matthias Larcher, born March 7, 1876, near Dayton, Missouringtomery County, Ohio; died October 3, 1964, Fairview, Newton County, Missouri. He married (1) Anna Mary Garber April 7, 1907. She was born 1884, and died May 15, 1911 in Fairview, Newton County, Missouri He married (2) Mary Ellen Flory Aft. 1911. She was born January 7, 1891, and died June 21, 1925. David is buried in Dice Cemetery, Fairview, Missouri. He was a Minister, and his Religion was Old German Baptist Brethren.


Obituary from the Vindicator, publication of the Old German Baptist Church:

". . . On March 5, 1885, at the age of 9 years, he with his parents moved to Newton County, Missouri, where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage to Anna Mary Garber . . . .He with his companion accepted the call of the Savior and were baptized into the Old German Baptist Church July 17, 1909, to which he remained faithful and steadfast until death. He was called into the office of the ministry Oct. 31, 1913, and ordained to the full ministry Nov. 4, 1938. . . . .He always enjoyed good health until the past few months, and during his recent illness, on Sept. 30, he called for the anointing service, which gave him much comfort. The welfare of his family and Church was his greatest interest. His life has been a good example of patience and kindness and it has been an inspiration to all who knew him. . . . A short service was held at McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton, Tues. Oct. 6, and thence to Maple Grove church, where funeral services were held. . . His body was laid to rest in the Dice Cemetery, there to await the glorious resurrection day."
