Bro. Rairigh was elected to the deacon's office in 1872, was chosen to the ministry in 1873, and ordained elder in 1888.
His death was sudden,-due to heart failure. He will be missed greatly missed, for his labors were much needed by the home church. His seat at church was never vacant when health permitted. He extended a cheerful greeting to all whom he met. In the early part of his ministry he held many protracted meetings in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan. Although his education was limited, he was an interesting preacher and a devout, God-fearing man.
