D8 Abraham Miller, born circa 1763/4, NW of Hagerstown and SW of Maugansville, Frederick County, Maryland, died April 29, 1859, Sycamore Township, Hamilton County, Ohio. Married circa 1784 to Catharine Maugans, daughter of Conrad and Rebecca Maugans, born circa 1767 near Wolfsville, Frederick County, Maryland, died after June 7, 1860, when she was enumerated living in Sycamore Township, Hamilton County, Ohio, age 92. Twelve Children.
Abraham moved westward along with his parents or near the same time if his son John was correctly enumerated, stating he was born in Ohio. He was living in Clermont County as early as 1805, appearing on an 1806 tax list. Ohio Styling himself as 'of Hamilton County, Ohio,' he purchased a 31 acre tract from John S. Wallace on June 20, 1808 in Hamilton County. As the years passed, he bought numerous tracts of land in Hamilton County and as they were sold, Catharine released her right of dower. He also purchased land in Elkhart County, Indiana on May 27, 1836, which was sold to his daughters, Susannah Miller of Hamilton County, Ohio, 157 acres for $200 and Sarah Miller of Hamilton County, Ohio, 200 acres for $250, both on December 17, 1836.

It is unfortunate that the Hamilton County Court House caught fire in 1884 resulting in many of the records being destroyed.
It is likely that Abraham and Catharine are likely buried in the Shuff-Myers Cemetery in Sharonville, Ohio where most of the markers have been destroyed by vandalism.
