G1 Sarah B. Miller, born August 23, 1852, Newberry Township, Miami County, Ohio, died February 14, 1909, Lake Odessa, Michigan, married December 12, 1869 Darke County, Ohio by Elder Joseph Risser, to Jonathan H. Mote, son of David Anderson Mote and Nancy Hoover, born August 19, 1848, Newberry Township, Miami County, Ohio, died 9 May, 1920, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

MOTE.-Sarah B. Miller, daughter of Joseph and Anna Miller, was born near Bradford, Miami Co., Ohio, Aug. 23, 1852, and died at her home in Lake Odessa, Mich., and within the bounds of the South Campbell Church, Feb. 14, 1909, at the age of 56 years, 5 mos. and 23 das. Sarah was the oldest of a family of seven children. Her youngest sister preceded her to the Spirit World fifteen years, four sisters and one brother together with father and mother, surviving her. She was united in marriage to Jonathan H. Mote, Dec. 12, 1869. To them were born three children, two sons and one daughter. One son died in infancy; the other son and the daughter with their father, remain to mourn the loss of a kind and loving wife and mother. Sister Sarah joined the Old German Baptist Church Jan. 9, 1870, and lived a faithful and consistent member until her death, and after affliction came upon her, she called for the Elders of the church, and was anointed with oil in the name of the Lord on April 26, 1908. She lived in Ohio until the Spring of 1879, when with her husband and family she moved to Ionia County, Mich., which was their home until death took her away. Her final sickness dated back one year, lacking five days, at which time she was stricken with heart trouble and dropsy. She was a great sufferer, but bore it all with Christian fortitude and patience, and we believe was ready and willing to meet her Saviour when he called her to her reward. Funeral services were held on Feb. 17, conducted by the home brethren and Isaiah Rairigh. Text, 1 Cor. 15:19; 2 Timothy 4:6,8.
