In MemoriamJennie Mae Kincaid was born the daughter of Thomas and Anna Kincaid, April 20, 1884, in Liberty Township and departed this life Wednesday, November 26, 1958. She was married to R. P. McClanahan September 5, 1905, and they lived a consecrated Christian life together until the time of his passing four years ago. To this union were born two daughters and two sons. She is survived by one son, Albert, four grandchildren, Robert, James, Brenda and Dennis, and one great grandson, Michael Lee. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, two daughters and one son. Mrs. McClanahan was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian church serving the early years of her Christian life at Eckmansville and later moving her letter to the West Union church. She was a charter member of the Earnest Workers Class which was organized in 1917. She was loved for her kindness, loyalty, faithfulness and her unwavering Christian faith. She was always a devoted wife and mother. May we cherish her memory and endeavor to follow her example of Godly living and loving service.Mrs. Effie Sparks

February 10, 1955 ROBERT PRESLEY McCLANAHAN, son of Samuel A. and Sarah Margaret Zercher McClanahan, was born in Liberty Township, this county, June 19, 1881, and died January 29, 1955. He married Jennie Kincaid September 6, 1905, and they had four children: Edna Lee, Albert, Delbert, and Edith Winona McClanahan; four grandchildren and four nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, two daughters, three brothers [photo at right], and three sisters. Mr. McClanahan joined the First Presbyterian Church of West Union in February, 1897, and was an elder in this church for almost fifty years.
