According to his obituary,
"Mr. Miller died just five days after he and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Will Miller grew up in Ohio. When he was a young man (about 23 yrs old), his father sent him to southern Missouri to see some property that the family owned. Will stayed and made his home in Missouri, returning to Ohio very few times for brief visits. When the children were old enough to manage the farm, Will and Sara made a longer visit to Ohio. Nine months later Horace was born. Will was a small, vigorous man who arose early to do his farm chores, according to his son, Edward Miller. He was proud of his Ohio farming methods and felt them superior to the south Missouri farmers ways. Two years after going to Missouri, Will joined the Old German Baptist church."
In 1878 Sarah Turner's family moved from Kansas to Newton County Missouri. After her marriage they lived on a farm near Carthage Missouri. In 1902 they moved to the farm near Stark City where they lived the remainder of their lives. At about the age of 18 she united with the Old German Baptist Brethren Church. This information is from a hand written obituary. It also states:
"Mother was always frail and never had good health very many days of her life, her last sickness was pneumonia. . . . Funeral Nov. 22 by the brethren at the Maple Grove Church. . . . . Burial in the Dice cemetery near by."Sarah is also buried in Dice Cemetery, Newton County, Missouri. Her cause of Death was Pneumonia. Her occupation was a housewife, and her Religion was Old German Baptist Brethren.
William W. Miller's Obituary in the Vindicator, publication of the Old German Baptist Church:
".. . . . .He was always a very strong, active man for his age, until a few months before the end, but went down very fast from then on, was bed-fast five weeks and suffered much with bladder trouble. When he realized the end was near he called for the Elders and was anointed April 24. He will be missed very much in the home and community. Funeral May 19th at the Maple Grove church, by the brethren, James Brooks and David Larcher. Burial in the Dice cemetery nearby."

H2 Flora Miller, born September 15, 1889, Carthage, Missouri; died May 3, 1975, Harrisonville, Missouri; married Thad Watson, March 25, 1922. Thad Watson had been married before and had a son. They lived in Wichita, Kansas for many years. They separated and she lost touch with him so did not know what happened to him or his son. When her health began to fail she moved to Belton, Missouri to be near her brother, Ed. She finally had to go into a nursing home in Harrisonville, Missouri where she died. She was buried in the family plot in Dice Cemetery in Newton County, Missouri.
H3 George W. Miller, born September 8, 1891, Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri; died July 5, 1920, Newton County Missouri. George claimed exemption from military service during WWI because he was involved in the essential task of helping with the family farm. He was killed when hit by a train as he crossed tracks near his home. He had a special skill in dealing with horses according to his brother, Ed. He is buried in Dice Cemetery, Fairview, Missouri.
H4 Edward T. Miller, born November 6, 1895, Rural Jasper County Missouri, near Carthage; died October 2, 1997, Belton, Cass County, Missouri; married Lottie Leola Embrey, March 21, 1926, Rural Newton County, Missouri; born October 1, 1905, Newtonia, Newton County, Missouri; died June 7, 1997 in Belton, Cass County, Missouri.
H5 Lula Miller, born January 11, 1901, Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri; died October 31, 1959, Neosho, Missouri (Sale Memorial Hospital). In 1902 Lula moved with her parents to a farm near Stark City in Newton County where she lived the rest of her life. She did not marry. She cared for her parents until their deaths. She then kept house for her younger brother, Horace, and helped with the farming. Lula Miller is buried in Dice Cemetery, Fairview, Missouri; Cause of Death: Ovarian cancer.
H6 Horace B. Miller, born June 5, 1912, Stark City, Newton County, Missouri; died October 6, 1997, Brookville, Ohio; married Ruby Lorene Dickson, March 5, 1966 in Missouri; Ruby was born April 11, 1913; died January 16, 1993, Brookville, Ohio. Horace and his sister, Lula, operated the family farm after their parents death. Horace married late in life and then joined the Old German Baptist church. He sold the farm and moved to Ohio near the area where his father had grown up. Horace B. Miller is buried in Trissel Cemetery, New Lebanon, Ohio; Occupation: Farmer; Religion: Old German Baptist. Funeral services for Ruby Lorene Dickson were at Wolfcreek Old German Baptist Church, Brookville, Ohio. She is buried in Trissel Cemetery, New Lebanon, Ohio; Religion: Old German Baptist.
