According to his obituary,

"Mr. Miller died just five days after he and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Will Miller grew up in Ohio. When he was a young man (about 23 yrs old), his father sent him to southern Missouri to see some property that the family owned. Will stayed and made his home in Missouri, returning to Ohio very few times for brief visits. When the children were old enough to manage the farm, Will and Sara made a longer visit to Ohio. Nine months later Horace was born. Will was a small, vigorous man who arose early to do his farm chores, according to his son, Edward Miller. He was proud of his Ohio farming methods and felt them superior to the south Missouri farmers ways. Two years after going to Missouri, Will joined the Old German Baptist church."

In 1878 Sarah Turner's family moved from Kansas to Newton County Missouri. After her marriage they lived on a farm near Carthage Missouri. In 1902 they moved to the farm near Stark City where they lived the remainder of their lives. At about the age of 18 she united with the Old German Baptist Brethren Church. This information is from a hand written obituary. It also states:

"Mother was always frail and never had good health very many days of her life, her last sickness was pneumonia. . . . Funeral Nov. 22 by the brethren at the Maple Grove Church. . . . . Burial in the Dice cemetery near by."
Sarah is also buried in Dice Cemetery, Newton County, Missouri. Her cause of Death was Pneumonia. Her occupation was a housewife, and her Religion was Old German Baptist Brethren.

William W. Miller's Obituary in the Vindicator, publication of the Old German Baptist Church:

".. . . . .He was always a very strong, active man for his age, until a few months before the end, but went down very fast from then on, was bed-fast five weeks and suffered much with bladder trouble. When he realized the end was near he called for the Elders and was anointed April 24. He will be missed very much in the home and community. Funeral May 19th at the Maple Grove church, by the brethren, James Brooks and David Larcher. Burial in the Dice cemetery nearby."
