He married Elizabeth "Betsy" Bowser March 14, 1829 in Montgomery County, Ohio, daughter of George Bowser and Elizabeth Moyer/Myers. She was born March 30, 1805 in Montgomery County , Ohio, and died March 20, 1878 in Montgomery County , Ohio. In the census for 1850 for Montgomery County , Ohio, Benjamin is listed as a farmer with real estate valued at $12,000. The marriage record says that Benjamin and Betsy were married by David Bowman. Some records give his date of birth as 1791.

In Montgomery County, Ohio marriages Vol. B page 25 it lists the marriage of Betsy and Benjamin Miller on Marcy 14, 1829. On the same page it lists the marriage of Henry Caul and Nancy Bowser. Perhaps this is a sister of Betsy but that is not proven. Obituary from the Vindicator, publication of the Old German Baptist Church: "In the Still Water Church, near Dayton, March 20, 1878, Sister Elizabeth Miller, aged 72 years, 11 months, and 20 days."
