Hetty had no children. Charles and his wives are buried Highland Cemetery in Covington, Ohio.


MURRY.-At the home of her parents, in Covington, Ohio, Dec. 28, 1897, of consumption, Sister Hetty Warner Murry, aged 23 years, 9 months and 1 day. She was baptized during her sickness, and realized, thereby great joy and peace of mind, which never left her. She communed once, and was anointed. Services by the writer and Bro. Isaac Frantz. I. J. Rosenberger.

MURRAY-Charles Murray, the son of Elder Samuel and Mary Shellabarger Murray, was born March 22, 1868 and passed away Sunday, May 21, 1944, at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 29 days. He was born and resided all of his life on the homestead near Covington, Ohio. Early in life he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized into membership of the Old German Baptist church, of which he was a consistent member. He was elected as a deacon on October 17, 1925.

On May 18, 1893, he was united in marriage to Hattie [sic] Warner who preceded him in death after four years of married life. There were no children to this union. On April 11, 1906, he was united in marriage to Lydia Beaver, and to this union were given two sons: Lester and William, and three daughters: Mrs. Frank Ebberts (Alice), Mrs. Joe Ryan (Ruth), and Mrs. James Bodenmiller (Glenna), and an adopted daughter, Evelyn (at home). He is also survived by three sisters, all residing in California: Mrs. Kate Cover, Mrs. Emma Gibbons and Mrs. Ella Colbert, and 12 grandchildren. One brother, Owen, preceded him in death.

Bro. Murray was widely known and respected by the entire community; his kindly and friendly manner and neighborly conduct endeared him to all who knew him. A good husband and father, he will be greatly missed by friends and the family circle, and also the church in which he always manifested a vital interest and was greatly concerned about her welfare. Funeral services were held in the Routzahn. funeral home, in Covington, conducted by H. C. Marlin and the undersigned. Burial in Highland cemetery, near the town. Wm. H. Coning.
