John was a farmer in Adams Township where their children were born. Members of the Harris Creek Church of the Brethren, they are buried Harris Creek Cemetery.

H4 Andrew Long, born April 14, 1880, died January 8, 1935, married January 15, 1905, Weltha Miller, born March 11, 1882 North Manchester, Indiana, died September 14, 1958, daughter of Samuel F. Miller and Martha Harter. They are buried Highland Cemetery in Gladwin, Michigan.

H5 Harvey Long, born July 31, 1882, died May 1965 Mt. Morris, Illinois, married (1) Anna Trostle, born August 1882 Ogle County, Illinois, died 1941 Mt. Morris, Illinois, daughter of Ephraim Pfoutz Trostle and Amanda Jane Wingert, married (2) Pearl ______. He and Anna are buried Oakwood Cemetery near Mt. Morris.

H6 Samuel Long, born February 25, 1886, died May 5, 1973 Greenville, Ohio, married Mattie E. Lehman, born 1886, died 1975. They are buried Harris Creek Cemetery.
