H1 Rolla Boyd Henderson, born July 22, 1882 in Union Township, Miami County, Ohio, died December 2, 1923 in Troy, Ohio, married August 29, 1903 in Pitsburg, Ohio, Lola Longanecker, daughter of Davis Longanecker and Lydia Isenbarger, born November 12, 1883 near Potsdam, Ohio, died January 7, 1967 in Greenville, Ohio. Lola married (2) Enos Cora Honeyman.
Boyd along with two fellow workers were on their way home in a truck when they were struck by a Big Four train at the Laura station. The engineer stopped the train and transported the victims to Stouder Memorial Hospital where Boyd died the next day. More than a thousand attended his funeral held in the Georgetown Church of the Brethren, with memorial services held simultaneously in the neighboring Mennonite Brethren In Christ Church. He and Lola are buried Potsdam Cemetery.
