H3 Bertha Inez Miller, born 8 Mar 1873 in Warrensburg, Missouri, died 14 Sep 1948; married 1894 Levi Metzger Neher, born 15 Oct 1872 near Rossville, Indiana, died 18 Jun 1924 near Warsaw, Indiana, son of Elder Joseph D. Neher and Elizabeth Metzger; married (2) 1928, Arthur Myers Stine, born 19 Mar 1871, died 24 Oct 1959, son of William Henry Stine and Sarah Rebecca Myers.
Bertha was an 1893 graduate of Mt. Morris College in Illinois. Two years later she wrote Among the Giants, a children's book that was reprinted several times. She and Levi were both teachers in the Fruitdale Academy and Citronelle College 1895-1898 in Alabama. He was elected to the ministry by the Fruitdale church. While members of the Bethel Church of the Brethren in Indiana in 1908, Bertha was licensed to the ministry. Levi was ordained an Elder by the Washington [now North Winona] Church of the Brethren in 1914. A. M. was elected to the ministry and ordained an Elder in 1911 by the Panther Creek Church of the Brethren near Adel, Iowa. He later served in the Des Moines, Des Moines Valley, Muscatine and Panora, Iowa congregations and last the North Manchester church. .
