Miller, born August 17, 1826 in Randolph Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, died May 12, 1910 in Cass Township, Guthrie County, Iowa ; married December 25, 1849 in St. Joseph County, Indiana Anna Warner, born October 22 1827 in Montgomery County, Ohio, died 12 August 1859 in Green Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana. Ann was the daughter of daughter of Heneary & Catharine (Baker) Warner. Five children.

Benjamin Miller married (2) May 2, 1862 in Marshall County, Indiana, Matilda Replogle, daughter of Daniel & Barbara (Penearod) Replogle Sr. born September 18, 1844 in Elkhart County, Indiana, died August 22, 1926 in Long Beach, California. Benjamin enlisted during the War Between the States. Benjamin and Matilda are buried in the Brethren Cemetery near Panora, Iowa . Nine children.


Miller, Bro. Benjamin C., born in Montgomery County, Ohio, Aug. 17, 1826, died at his home in Panora, Iowa , May 12, 1910, aged 83 years, 8 months and 25 days. He was married to Matilda Replogle May 2, 1862, in Marshall County, Ind. To this union were born six daughters and four sons. One son died in infancy and one was killed in a railroad accident. Bro. Miller was also the father of four children by a previous marriage. He served as a soldier in the Union army during the Civil War and was honorably discharged. He and his wife united with the church in 1869 and have been faithful ever since. They moved to Iowa in 1871 and have since lived in and near Panora. They won the esteem and love of all who knew them. Though feebled by age, Bro. Miller walked about five blocks to the post office and back on the 11th, and around the lawn, only a few hours before his death. His wife was suffering heart trouble for nearly a week, but with some assistance she went to his room. Services by the home ministers, to a large audience.

Miller, Matilda Replogle, was born in Marshall County, Ind., Sept. 18, 1844, and died in Long Beach, Calif., Aug. 22, 1926, aged 81 years, 11 months and 4 days. May 2, 1862, she was united in marriage to B. C. Miller. To this union were born ten children. She with her husband united with the church in Indiana. In 1871 they came west, locating in Guthrie County, Iowa , where they placed their letter in the Countyon River congregation, where she held her membership almost fifty-five years. In 1920, she went to California to live with a daughter. She leaves eight children and a number of grand and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Brethren church north of Panora, Iowa , Aug. 27, by the writer. Her body was laid to rest in the cemetery near by beside her husband, who preceded her in death. May 12, 1910.
