A. B. Donnell, Official Of Dallas Bank, Dies

Alfred Bearce Donnell, 55, of 1635 So. Monte Carlo Drive, vice-president of the Wynnewood State Bank since 1954, died unexpectedly late Wednesday.

Mr. Donnell was stricken by a heart attack at the corner of Cockrell Hill Road and Illinois on Oak Hill about 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Donnell had been associated with the Wynnewood Back since its founding in 1952, He served as a cashier for several years prior to his appointment as vice-president. A Dallas resident for 50 years, Mr. Donnel had been in the service of several Dallas banks before joining the Wynnewood Bank.

He was a 3rd degree Mason with membership in the Gibraltar Masonic Lodge, a Shriner and a member of the Eastern Star.

Mr. Donnell was past president of the South Oak Kiwanis Club. He was a member of the Oak Hill Chamber of Commerce, Oak Cliff Christian Church, American Institute of Banking and American Banker's Association. He was active in numerous charity drives in Dallas. Mr. Donnell was born in Kemp, Kaufman County.

Survivors are his wife and two sons, James Alfred Donnell and Stanley Joe Donnell, all of Dallas.

Funeral Services were pending late Wednesday at the Marrs-Mundy-Quill Funeral Home, 3000 Maple.
