D3 Catherine Miller. Married John Fisher.
John Fisher was co-administrator of Catherine's father's will. Catherine was named in the will of John Miller, (her father) but not in the distribution list of his estate. In her place was the name of her husband and his name is on all the estate papers. He made an oath rather than swore.
John Fisher had their four children baptized in the nearby Salem Reform Church, in 1796. They are both listed as parents but the father alone is a sponsor. In an administrative account John Fisher, had paid rent on two fields on the farm, a meadow and a swamp.
He was co-administrator of her father's will. Catharine was named in the 1794 will of John Miller, (her father) but not in the April 9, 1799 distribution list of his estate. In her place was the name of her husband and his name is on all the estate papers. In an administrative account, he paid rent on two fields on the farm, a meadow and a swamp. He made an oath rather than swore.
John Fisher, whose wife was Catharina, had their children Georg, John, Elisabeth, Susana and Ana Maria as their names were recorded, baptized on June 7, 1796 in the Salem Reformed Church near Cearfoss, Maryland. John was the sponsor for his children. Other infant baptisms of the same time frame listed the parents as sponsors. This indicates the probability that Catharine died near the time of her youngest daughter's birth.
The Fisher name is not found in the 1810 census of Washington County.
