Betty Jo Huffman was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, but grew up and lived most of her life in central New York. She has a BA from St. Lawrence University and an MLS from Syracuse University.

She met Don when she was working as a library media specialist in the Syracuse City Schools. They are both happily retired now and spend their time playing golf, traveling, and pursuing any activity that catches their interest.

Don Churchill is a native of Little Falls, New York. He was a three-sport star athlete in high school and went on to get an MS in education from Ithaca College. After a brief stint in the Chicago Cubs farm team organization, Don settled on a career in teaching physical education in the Syracuse City Schools.

Children of Betty Jo Huffman and Donald Churchill:

F1 Eamon Christopher Lee, born August 24, 1970. Eamon went to culinary school at Paul Smiths College in the Adirondacks. He is the head chef at the Century Club in Syracuse, New York.

In addition to his culinary skills, Eamon builds furniture in the Gustav Stickley Arts & Crafts style.

Eamon relaxes by fly fishing the Delaware River and, occasionally, the Missouri River near Craig, Montana.

F2 Kathryn (Katie) Kelleher Lee, born September 19, 1971. Katie has a law degree from the University of Buffalo. She clerks for a federal judge in Rochester, New York.

Betty Jo and her daughter share a love of photography. They both own digital cameras "armed" with 1 gb memory cards. To the dismay of Eamon and her husband, Don, Katie and Betty Jo often subject them to lengthy slide shows featuring leaves, flowers, animals, butterflies, etc.
