OBITUARY. DIED, at the residence of his father in Liberty Township, Adams county, Ohio, March 26th 1873, Mr. Franklin Zercher, aged 19 years. The deceased, as has been noticed in the Scion, was thrown from a horse on the night of the 14th inst., with his head against a fence, breaking the right side of his skull so that half his brain wasted before he died, beside severe injury in the chest. Notwithstanding, he was conscious until within a few hours of his death; he knew every person that visited him of his acquaintance. The deceased was a member of the M. E. Church; talked much of his hopes of another and a better world; entreated his friends to meet him in heaven; said he wanted to die and be with Christ in glory. During Frank's illness, the sympathy manifested for him was shown by the scores that visited him and administered to his wants- We presume two or three hundred persons attended his funeral.
