George and Henriette were residents of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
George was a member of Co. C, 1st Potomac Home Brigade Cavalry/Col. Henry A. Cole's Volunteer Maryland Cavalry. Captured Rectortown, Virginia, January 1, 1864.
Henrietta Shriver remarried Daniel F Pittenturf, born 1831, died 1900.

D1 Sarah Louisa Shriver, born November 21, 1855 , died November 6, 1874; "Sadie" Sadie Shriver was only seven years old when she witnessed the Battle of Gettysburg from her grandparents farm which sits at the bottom of the hills known as Big and Little Round Top. Eleven years later, Sadie died of consumption (today called tuberculosis) and was laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetary. For reasons unknown no marker was ever placed on the grave of the young girl who was an eyewitness to one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War. Buried Evergreen Cemetery Gettysburg.
