27 Nov 1896 Friday - Cyrus Fisher, an old pioneer of this village died at the U S Hotel last Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. The funeral services were held in the M E church, Rev Garrett officiating. His remains ere laid to rest in the cemetery by the side of his wife, who died about 16 years ago. He was about 80 years of age and leaves two children, William Fisher of Holton, Ks [Kansas] and Joseph Fisher of Pittsburgh, Pa

McGrew, born November 9, 1852, in Richmond, Ohio; died June 3, 1913, in Holton, Kansas. William and Mary are both buried in Holton Cemetery, Holton, Jackson County, Kansas, USA. William, Ross Fisher was a veteran of the Cicil War. He was a member of Company D, 80th Ohio Infantry. His regiment was on Sherman's march to the sea in December 1864.
