OBITUARY
From The Vindicator:
"In the Stillwater Church, near Dayton, Ohio, August 22, 1876, Bro. John Miller, aged 83 years, 9 months, and 19 days. He was the son of Daniel and Susannah Miller; was born in Washington County, Maryland, November 2, 1792, and came to Harrison Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, June 15, 1804, where he lived until he arrived at the above-named good old age. He suffered much in his last afflictions, but he bore it all with grace and Christian fortitude, desiring rather to be present with the Lord, than remain in the flesh. He was, we trust, well fitted for the solemn change. Bro. Miller possessed more than ordinary graces of Christian comeliness, humbleness, meekness, kindness, and patience. His walk, conduct, appearance, and general deportment was such as may, with propriety, be regarded as worthy of our imitation. But his seat in this earthly sanctuary is now vacant, and he has gone to reap the reward of his labors here. Funeral services by the brethren, from Rev. XIV. 12, 13, to a large concourse of people."
