July __ , 2001 James Theodore Wilson, 73, of West Union, died Saturday, July 14, 2001, at the Eagle Creek Nursing Center in West Union. He was born in Adams County on Dec. 3, 1927, the son of Ida D. (Smith) Wilson and the late James McClanahan Wilson. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II; a member of the West Union Baptist Church and United Steel Workers of Pittsburgh, Pa. Survivors include his mother, Ida Wilson of West Union; his wife, Hazel C. (Winn) Wilson of West Union; four daughters and sons-in-law, Merry Jane and Mel Wunsch of Brandenburg, Ky., Phylis Ann and Larry Strevel of Leesburg, Helen L. Wilson and Susan E. Moman both of Batesville, Ind.; four sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Tina Wilson of West Union, Jamie William and Sharon Wilson of West Union, Michael H. Wilson of Columbus, James H. and Alice Wilson of West Union, Steve Little of West Union, Ricky and Cathy Little of Lebanon; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Bob Pierce of Beverly and Ruth Ann and Bob DelRosa of Mentor; 18 grandchildren; six step grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 18, at 1 p.m. at the Beam Funeral Home in West Union with Doug Ferguson officiating.Visitation was held Tuesday, July 17, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the West Union Cemetery with graveside services by the Adams County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association and/or American Diabetes Association.
