F4 James Frank McClanahan, born January 15, 1915, died October 6, 2001; married December 26, 1953 Beulah Collins, born December 6, 1934. Beulah's parents were Virginia Ward and her father was Logan Collins. Logan's parents were Cassienne Anna Collins, born 1875 in Owsley County, Kentucky and James Collins born 1866. James and Beulah had three children.
Cassienne Collin's father was Ruel Collins, born 1832 in Hawkins County, Tennessee, and her mother was Caroline Smith. Ruel's father was John Collins born in Virginia, and moved to Tennessee and married Jane McCaffrey, in North Carolina. After having 4 or 5 kids they moved to kentucky in the 1830's. The younger children were born in Kentucky. John is in the 1840 census in Kentucky, and in the 1850 census he and Jane and the children are all listed except for son Nicholas who was already married to Mahala.

Preceded in death by brother Dr. Bert L. McClanahan, sister Besse Sproull, grand nephew Scottie Gillispie. Survived by wife of 48 years, Beulah; sons, James Frank (Bonnie) McClanahan, Jr., Craig Alan (Lisa) McClanahan; daughter, Regina Marie (Jeff) Rummel; granddaughters, Jennifer Lynn McClanahan, Sydney Marie and Delainey Rae Rummel; niece, Carol Gillespie; grand nephew, Michael Gillespie, all of Columbus.
