October 15, 1908Death of William Baldridge.William Baldridge, who was one of Wayne township's most highly respected citizens, died at his home near North Liberty, last Sunday evening, his death being due to paralysis, with which he was stricken about two weeks ago. The deceased was seventy-eight years of age. He is survived by his wife and eight children, John, Ammon and Marion, of Wayne township; Stewart and Frazier, of Kansas; James, of Illinois; Grant, of Seattle; and Edward, of Peebles. The funeral was held at the home Tuesday afternoon, the services being conducted by Rev. Kennedy of the U. P. church, of which congregation the deceased had long been an active member. The burial was not made until Wednesday to await the arrival of the two sons from Kansas.
